Telling people part 2
We spent this weekend telling people. It was weird - we told most of our friends (those we could get in touch with, at least) on Friday, and that went pretty well. After a day of working on the house with my Dad, we took my parents out to dinner on Saturday night (to Madras New Woodlands on William Street - vegetation Indian, very nice). To say the very least, they were pretty excited; we gave them keyrings that said "Grandma" and "Grandpa", it took them a second to work it out. And then my Dad burst into tears for about 10 minutes! The owner of the restaurant came over and checked whether he was OK! Anyway, he was just very excited...
We told Cass' grandma just before we took my parents out to dinner, she was pretty damn excited as well. Although she was trying desperately to keep her emotions in check, but we saw straight though it.
Yesterday we went to lunch with Cass's Dad, her step-mum and her sisters and their boyfriends. They were pretty excited, especially Cass' sister Brooke who seemed pretty keen to start baby-sitting straight away, which was pretty cute.
Anyway, I can't tell you everything or else the lady with the baby won't have anything to say!

Yeeehah, way to go, guys!
Best of luck with everything (and I am seriously green with envy that you don't have morning sickness, you have no idea what pain you're missing out on - if you've ever been seasick, just imagine that, 24 hours a day...).
Good to see that MonkeySpawn (aw, what a cute name!) is a wriggler. Max was *insane* during his pregnancy and his little brother/sister seems to want to join him in insanity. (And both of them were shy of ultrasounds, Max kept on moving out of the shot, this one keeps on refusing to move anywhere into shot. Yeesh.)
Sorry I was so unable to do anything more than squeak "congratulations!!!" to Jimbo on the phone when he told me on Friday. Hot and humid day, and I'd JUST walked in the door from a fun (NOT!) commute. Plus, I'd believed you when you said you never wanted to be parents. Silly me!
You'll be great parents, and if you need to know anything, do ring us, or drop us an email. We're a font of knowledge now (yeah, right), and are more than happy to dump Too Much Information on you. :)
Again, best of luck. Have a great time, and your life will never be the same again.
cheers!
Tania
