All Quiet Here

Well there's not much to write about lately. Oh hang on! We've arranged a meeting with a doula (I know, horrible word) for Wed night and she'll be going through all of her stuff with us. We thought having one around for the labour sounded like a good idea since it leaves Jimbo free to not have to make major decisions about stuff like when to go to hospital and if something is going wrong, with absolutely no experience to go on! Her name is Heather and she sounded lovely on the phone so hopefully that works out well. Don't know what a doula is? Neither did we until a few weeks ago. There's a website to show you the way!

We got the bassinette and change table from Brodie and set up the baby's room in the kind of ramshackled, disorganised way that you do anything when you a.) have no idea what you're doing and b.) probably aren't going to keep things the way you have them for very long. We also did finally get a couple of GroBags from ebay which are pretty cute. One had blue stripes on it, which apparently meant that it suddenly became a BOY GroBag. Uh huh. Whatever.

As for us, it has been absolutely FREEZING here - I'm writing this whilst wearing my beanie, two jumpers and socks. Smellie is finding warmth by lying on top of Jimbo's monitor, lucky monkey. What else has been happening? Oh, we both had our birthdays and many many thanks to all of you who sent your birthday wishes to us - it really means a lot when we're so far away from our friends :o(. Linda, your messages made us both laugh out loud, you are so funny!

Anyway just a quick update today with not much info. Once we've met with the doula we'll pop back in again to let you know what happened and I'll post a photo of my ever increasing girth - it's getting difficult to bend down and get back up again lately!
